Our puppy, Lulu, has had the wonderful and charming habit over the past few weeks of vomiting and expelling diarrhea in the mornings. This, it seems, is a result of her crate being on the floor near the window which, with the recent drop in temperature, can become quite cold.
However, this slippery predicament has led to something that may cause vomit and diarrhea within you:
Yes, my parents got her a sweater.
Now, when it comes to dressing up small animals and children, I've found that people generally divide themselves into two extreme camps: the ones who nearly piss themselves from the sheer...cute of it all, or the ones who actually piss themselves after having gouged their eyes out.
It's amazing, really, how utterly for or against miniature clothes people can be. I initially found myself in the latter category, with the words 'little sweater' making me gag and cough up for about 10 minutes.
But, after being homebound for a couple weeks, I hobbled my way downstairs one day to find, lo and behold, a smattering of vomit and diarrhea around the floor and on her training pad. Unfortunately, my parents and sisters had already conveniently fled for work and school. And so, standing on one leg, I had to dab up the vomit and diarrhea with one hand while trying to keep Lulu from stepping in it with the other.
It was probably around this time that I decided a sweater wouldn't be so bad. Probably.
We only put on the sweater and night, mind you, and though we've only tried it for a few days, she seems to sleep more soundly and I haven't heard of any more liquidy expulsions on the floor (though I've also been fleeing to work ever since I could start driving again).
So, I think I have to readjust my previous position regarding too cute shrunken clothing - I don't really have anything against it...so long as it's hidden from the public eye.
